Almond Chai Tea Gluten-Free Recipe

MAKES 2 CUPS

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the almond milk, cinnamon sticks, peppercorns, cloves, and cardamom pods to a simmer and cook 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and steep for 5 minutes. Strain, discarding the solids, add maple syrup to taste, and enjoy warm or over ice.

Apricot Rooibos Tea Gluten-Free Recipe

MAKES 2 CUPS

Ingredients

  • 4 dried apricots, halved
  • 2 teaspoons loose-leaf rooibos tea, or 2 rooibos tea bags

Instructions

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Place the apricots and tea into a French press or large mug. Pour the boiling water over the ingredients, steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain, discarding the solids, and serve hot or over ice.

Spiced Mint Tea Gluten-Free Recipe

MAKES 4 CUPS 

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom pods
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons dark muscovado sugar or brown sugar
  • 4 fresh mint sprigs
  • 4 dried rosebuds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

  • Place the sage, fennel seeds, cinnamon, and cardamom in a heatproof container with a lid. Add the boiling water and cover. Let steep for 8 to 10 minutes, then add 1 tablespoon sugar.
  • Strain the tea into a teapot. Season to taste with more sugar. Place a mint sprig and rosebud in each of 4 teacups. Add the tea and finish with a sprinkling of fresh orange zest.
